In the bowl of a stand mixer, beat butter on medium speed for a minute or so until light and fluffy. Carefully add the powdered sugar, cocoa, vanilla and 1 tablespoon milk. Stir slowly until combined and then beat on high speed for ⏱️ 2 minutes until fluffy. Add additional milk as needed to create a smooth consistency for frosting.
