In a blender, combine 4 cups watermelon, 1/2 cup water, 1 tablespoon sugar, and 1 tablespoon lime juice and blend until smooth. Pour into a large pitcher.

Repeat with remaining 4 cups watermelon, 1/2 cup water, 1 tablespoon sugar, and 1 tablespoon lime juice. Strain through a fine-mesh strainer if desired. Chill until serving time.
