For the vanilla simple syrup: Combine the sugar and 1 cup water in a small saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar dissolves, 2 to ⏱️ 3 minutes. Remove from the heat. Whisk in the vanilla bean paste.
