📝 Preparation Steps
1
Preheat the oven to 350℉.
2
Unroll the crescent dough and press it into a 9-by-9-inch baking pan, pinching the perforated seams together. The dough will come up the sides of the pan slightly.
3
Sprinkle the dough with a 1/2 cup of the cheddar and bake until golden and the cheese is melted, 12 to ⏱️ 13 minutes. Remove from the oven and set aside to cool slightly.
4
Meanwhile, heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic, onion, chili powder, cumin, and coriander and cook, stirring occasionally, until the spices are very fragrant, 2 to ⏱️ 3 minutes. Add the beef and raise the heat to medium-high. Cook, breaking up the meat with a wooden spoon, until cooked through and browned, about ⏱️ 5 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the sour cream, ¾ cup of the cheddar, and hot sauce to taste.

Remove the crust from the pan and place on a cutting board or serving platter. Top the crust with the meat mixture and garnish with the remaining 2 tablespoons cheddar, the lettuce, tomato, and sour cream. Slice and serve with hot sauce, if desired.
