For the jalapeño tequila: Place the jalapeño halves and tequila in a pint-sized glass jar. Cover and let sit at room temperature for ⏱️ 24 hours. Remove the jalapeño and any seeds that may have escaped.

For the margaritas: Combine the jalapeño tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and agave syrup in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake for 20 to ⏱️ 30 seconds to chill well. Strain into each margarita glass or rocks glass filled with ice. Garnish with slices of lime and jalapeño, if you like.
