In a small saucepan, bring 1–2 inches of water to a simmer. Place a heatproof bowl (stainless steel or glass) over the saucepan without letting it touch the water. Add the chocolate chips and butter, stirring until smooth and fully melted (about 3–⏱️ 5 minutes).***
