Pour some coarse salt on a plate. Rub the outer rim of an old-fashioned glass or an 8-ounce wineglass with lemon wedge; roll rim in salt. Fill glass with ice cubes then top with 2 oz. vodka and 4 oz. fresh grapefruit juice and stir gently to mix. Tuck ½ grapefruit wheel into glass (if using).
