Position a rack in the upper third of the oven and preheat the broiler.

On a baking sheet, toss the tomatillos, garlic, poblano, jalapeño, and onion with the oil. Broil, flipping once or twice, until charred, 4 to ⏱️ 5 minutes. Stem and seed the poblano and remove the stem from the jalapeño.

Transfer the vegetables to a food processor. Add the cilantro, salt, pepper, and the lime zest and juice. Pulse until the desired consistency is reached.
