Start cooking the pasta as directed on the package.

Meanwhile, heat the oil and melt the butter in a large pan over medium heat, add the onion and cook until tender, about ⏱️ 5-8 minutes.

Add the garlic and red pepper flakes and cook until fragrant, about a minute.

Add tomatoes and oregano, bring to a simmer and cook for ⏱️ 5 minutes before pureeing the sauce in a blender and returning it to the pan.

Add the cream and cheese, mix and let the cheese melt into the sauce.

Drain the cooked pasta and add it to the sauce before seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
