Preheat oven to 425°F. Toss together asparagus and 1 tablespoon oil on a rimmed baking sheet. Season with salt and pep- per. Roast, tossing once, until cooked through and starting to blacken, 14 to ⏱️ 16 minutes.

Meanwhile, whisk together lemon zest and juice, garlic, mustard, tarragon, and remaining 1/4 cup oil in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Drizzle roasted asparagus with dressing and garnish with tarragon.
