Preheat oven to 180°C / 160°C fan / 350°F.

Place the almonds on a baking tray and bake for ⏱️ 12-15 minutes until darkened, fragrant, and beginning to release their natural oils. Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly on a wire rack.

Place into a food processor with the salt and blend for around ⏱️ 15 minutes until a smooth mixture forms. If you are concerned your machine is overheating stop and do this in intervals.

Once prepared, you can store this spread in an airtight container for up to one month.
