📝 Preparation Steps
1
For the Ribs
2
Cut each rack in half through the middle
3
Place half racks into a large stockpot and fill with water (if you don't have a really large one, use 2 pots). Ribs must be submerged in the water.
4
Bring the pot to a boil; then reduce heat to low and simmer for 1 1/⏱️ 2 hours. Add extra water to cover ribs if it evaporates.
5
Remove the ribs from the water. If you're not grilling the ribs right away, allow them to cool, cover with foil and refrigerate until ready. Can be prepared the day before.
6
Grilling Preheat the grill to 275 degrees F. Brush the Whiskey Maple BBQ Sauce on both sides of the racks; then grill until the meat is heated through and the bbq sauce has a nice char on the outside for approximately ⏱️ 20-30 minutes. Oven Baking Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Line a sheet pan with foil; then place the ribs on top. Brush the Whiskey Maple BBQ Sauce on both sides of the racks; then bake for about ⏱️ 30 minutes. This will allow the ribs to get hot and the bbq sauce to penetrate the meat. Once the ribs are cooked, cut through them into individual ribs and place on a serving platter.

For the Whiskey Maple BBQ Sauce
8
Combine all of the ingredients in a small saucepan, bring to a boil; then allow to simmer for about ⏱️ 5 minutes. As it cools it gets thicker so just refrigerate until ready to use. You can make this up to 2 days ahead.
