Melt the butter in a large dutch oven over medium heat. Add the sausage, carrots, celery and onion and cook, breaking up the sausage with a wooden spoon, until the vegetables are soft and the sausage is cooked through, about ⏱️ 5 minutes.

Add the garlic, salt, Italian seasoning and pepper and cook, stirring, until fragrant, about ⏱️ 1 minute. Add the flour and cook, stirring, about ⏱️ 1 minute. Gradually stir in the chicken broth, scraping the bottom of the pot, and bring to a boil.

Add the ravioli and kale, reduce the heat and simmer until the ravioli begins to float and is tender, 3 to ⏱️ 4 minutes.

Stir in the heavy cream and simmer gently for about ⏱️ 1 minute. Remove from the heat and stir in the lemon juice. Divide among bowls and top with parmesan. Dollop with the pesto and serve with crusty bread.
