Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.

In the bowl of your stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, mix the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about ⏱️ 2 minutes. Add in the egg, vanilla, baking soda, and salt and mix until smooth, scraping the sides, as necessary.

Turn the mixer to low and add in the flour until just combined.

Scoop out the dough using a medium (2-tablespoon) size cookie scoop and place onto a lined baking sheet 2 inches apart. Bake for ⏱️ 8-10 minutes until edges begin to golden.

Transfer to a wire rack to cool.

While cookies cool, prepare praline frosting.

In a medium saucepan, combine butter, cream, brown sugar, and salt over medium heat. Heat mixture until it comes to a boil, stirring frequently. Once it comes to a boil, allow it to boil for one minute, and then remove it from the heat.

Immediately add vanilla and powdered sugar, stirring until smooth. Finally, stir in nuts.
