Beat the egg whites and salt until frothy. Add 1 tablespoon of sugar at a time and vanilla, and beat until the meringue is stiff. Set aside

Preheat the oven to 350°F. Combine the milk and the pudding mix in a mixing bowl and beat with a whisk for ⏱️ 2-3 minutes. You can also use an electric mixer with the whisk attachment. Pudding should be soft-set in less than ⏱️ 5 minutes.

Arrange the wagers, sliced bananas, and pudding in layers in a 2-quart dish, ending with a layer of pudding on top. This will make three layers. Spread the meringue gently over the top. Bake just until lightly browned, about ⏱️ 12-15 minutes.
