Mom's Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bars
These are the chocolate chip cookie bars I grew up on—gooey centers, crisp edges, and lots of melty chocolate. So simple, so nostalgic, and always a favorite.

📝 Preparation Steps

1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Butter a 9x13-inch, or slightly larger, baking dish.2. In a large bowl, beat together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until combined. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition until creamy. Beat in the vanilla. Add the flour, baking soda, and sea salt, and beat until combined. Stir in the chocolate chips.3. Spread the dough into the prepared pan. Bake for 18–⏱️ 25 minutes, until just barely set in the center. We like them doughy. The longer you bake, the more set the bars will become. If you prefer more of a set cookie, bake ⏱️ 30 minutes or remove 1/3 cup of the cookie dough from your 9x13 inch pan. 4. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt. Enjoy a few warm bites from the pan!
