Miso Brownies
Miso is one of our favourite ingredients to use in cooking because it's packed full of flavour and tastes amazing across different types of dishes. These miso brownies are great to try when you're looking for a delicious dark chocolate treat that is a little bit different.

Preheat the oven to 180C (350F), fan setting.

In a small bowl, mix together the chia seeds and water. Leave to one side for ⏱️ 10 minutes to thicken.

In a large bowl, mix together the cacao powder, plain flour, bicarb and baking powder. Mix well until there are no lumps.

Add the maple syrup, melted coconut oil, miso paste, chia mixture and almond milk to the mixture and mix well until a smooth batter forms.

Pour the batter into a lined baking tray and cook for ⏱️ 25-30 minutes until cooked through but still a little fudgy.

Make the frosting by melting the chocolate and coconut oil together in a bowl over a pan of simmering water. Once melted, take off the heat and stir in the miso paste and maple syrup. Spread over the brownie straight away and then leave to set slightly before cutting.
