Mix everything, form into 1-2 tablespoon balls and either pan fry in oil over medium-heat until browned on all sides, about ⏱️ 2-4 minutes per side OR roast in a preheated 350F/180C oven until lightly golden brown, about ⏱️ 20-25 minutes.

Heat the oil in a large saucepan over medium heat, add the onions,celery and carrots, and cook until tender, about ⏱️ 7-10 minutes.

Add the garlic, red pepper flakes, ground fennel, and tomato paste, mix and cook until fragrant, about a minute.

Add the broth, meatballs, pasta, and Italian seasoning, bring to a boil, reduce the heat and simmer until the pasta is cooked, about ⏱️ 10 minutes.

Add the cream and cheese, mix and let the cheese melt into the broth.
