Cut the cream cheese blocks in half lengthwise, then cut the halves crosswise into ΒΌ-inch-thick slices. Repeat with the cheddar and pepper jack.

Arrange alternating slices of the cream cheese, cheddar, and pepper jack in a 1 Β½-quart casserole dish, standing the pieces on their edges.
