Maple Dijon Salmon

Make the sauce: Melt 4 tbsp of butter in a small pot on the stove. Add in chopped sage, maple syrup, dijon, garlic and onion powder. whisk together and remove from heat.

Pan Sear: Heat a pan with 1 tbsp of avocado oil over the stove. In the meantime, season salmon filets with salt and pepper. When the oil is just starting to shimmer and before the first wisps of smoke, sear salmon filets for about ⏱️ 2 minutes.

Transfer to a sheet pan, baste with sauce and bake in a 400°F oven for ⏱️ 5-7 minutes, or until the salmon reaches an internal temperature of 135°F.

To fry sage heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a medium skillet over high heat.Once hot add in sage leaves and fry for ⏱️ 1-2 minutes per side. Remove from the oil and transfer to a paper towel lined plate. Set aside until you are ready to serve.
