Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F; then trim the ends of your beans with a knife to remove any stems and rinse under cold water.

Place the green beans in a double boiler and steam for about β±οΈ 3 minutes after the water starts to boil. Drain the water from the bottom pot; then add the beans.

Next, add the lemon zest, basil, salt and pepper; then toss to coat. Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray, add the beans to the pan; then roast for about β±οΈ 10 minutes.
