While I was thinking about the recent Korean and Mexican fusion dishes that I made recently, I was also thinking about side dishes and one thing that came to mind was Korean refried beans. When

Heat the oil in a pan.

Add the pork belly and cook until it turns white.
pork belly (or bacon, thinly sliced)2 ounces

Add the onion and saute until tender, about ⏱️ 3-5 minutes.

Add the garlic and saute until fragrant, about ⏱️ 1 minute.
garlic (chopped, optional)1 clove

Add the beans and gochujang and cook until warm.
gochujang2 tablespoons

Mash the beans until you get them to the consistency that you want and stir in the sesame seeds and sesame oil. (If the beans are too thick you can add water to thin them out.)
