Preheat the broiler in the oven.

In a small bowl, combine the canola oil, olive oil, minced garlic, and salt. Mix well.

Brush one side of each baguette slice with the garlic oil.

Place the slices oil side up on a baking sheet and broil for 2 to ⏱️ 4 minutes. They should be golden brown and crunchy on the edges, but watch closely to make sure the garlic does not burn. Remove from the oven.

Flip the baguette slices, brush the other side with garlic oil, and broil for 1 to ⏱️ 2 minutes until the other side just begins to toast.
