Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Spread 1 cup all-purpose flour out on a large baking sheet. Bake for ⏱️ 5 minutes until the flour reaches an internal temperature of 160 degrees Fahrenheit. You can also add the flour to a large heat-safe bowl and microwave for ⏱️ 1-2 minutes.

In a medium-sized mixing bowl, add the ½ cup room temperature unsalted butter, ½ cup light brown sugar, and 2 tbsp granulated sugar. Whisk together until creamy.
