Add the wild rice to the insert of a 6 or 8 quart Instant Pot.

Add in 1 1/2 cups of cool water, the salt, and avocado oil. Stir well to combine.

Place the lid on the Instant Pot and set the valve to "sealing". Set to manual pressure and set the timer for ⏱️ 27 minutes.

Once the pot beeps to indicate pressure has been achieved, it will cook for the ⏱️ 27 minutes and switch to the warm function.

Allow the pot to do a ⏱️ 15 minute natural pressure release (NPR). This is done by allowing the time clock on the warm function to count up to ⏱️ 15 minutes in elapsed time.

Once the natural pressure release time is up, flip the valve to "venting" and allow any excess steam to escape.

Once the pin drops, indicating the pressure has been released, carefully open the lid away from your face.

Fluff the rice with and fork and taste. Adjust the salt to your taste, or add any desired seasonings.
