📝 Preparation Steps
1
Set the instant pot to saute mode. Add the oil.

Once the oil is hot, add the onion, red bell pepper, green bell pepper, jalapeno, and garlic. Saute until softened, about ⏱️ 7 minutes. Remove to a bowl.

3
Add the ground beef to the hot instant pot. Break up into chunks and cook until browned, about ⏱️ 10 minutes. Use an oven mitt to remove the inner pot and drain the fat. Return the inner pot to the unit.
4
Add 1 cup of beef broth and scrape the bottom of the pan to deglaze any stuck-on bits.

5
Add the spices and stir well. Cook for ⏱️ 2-3 minutes, then press cancel.
6
Add the remaining broth. Then add all of the other ingredients. Do NOT stir. Place the lid on the instant pot and set the vent to seal. Set to Manual/High Pressure for ⏱️ 15 minutes. Once the cooking time has elapsed, allow the pressure to naturally release for ⏱️ 10 minutes. Release the remaining pressure and remove the lid.
7
Stir the chili and serve immediately.
