Combine the sugar, pickled chiles and brine, salt, cranberries and Fresno chile in a medium saucepan. Add 1/2 cup water and stir to combine.

Bring to a simmer over medium-high heat and cook until the cranberries burst and the sauce is starting to thicken, 12 to ⏱️ 14 minutes. Let cool (the sauce will continue to thicken as it cools). Serve warm or chilled.
