Add the carrots to the perforated steamer portion of the pot, place the bottom of the pot underneath.

Rinse the carrots under cold water allowing the water to drain through to the bottom pot. Stop when there is about 2 cups of water in the bottom pot; just enough to steam the vegetables.

Place the pot on top of the stove, cover with a lid and cook on high for approximately β±οΈ 10 minutes until the carrots are fork tender.

Drain the water from the bottom pot; then place the cooked carrots from the top pot into the bottom.

Add the butter, honey, sugar, salt and pepper to the pot, turn the heat on low; then toss to coat the carrots with a spoon for β±οΈ 3-4 minutes until the butter has melted and the sugar has dissolved.
