Start fries & prep toppings

Chop & gather all burger toppings. Start the French fries using your preferred cooking method (air fryer, oven, etc). While those cook, make the burger.

Shape & sear the patties

Divide the ground meat into two ~112 g (1/4 lb) balls. Press & shape each into a thin & wide patty, then season with salt & pepper. Preheat a griddle over high heat until smoking. Add both patties and sear until well browned on one side. Flip to finish cooking the patties through.

Assemble & serve

Toast the buns, if desired. Add a generous squiggle of mustard to each side of the bun. Layer on both cooked patties, and then top with onions, pickles, tomatoes, and lettuce. Close the bun & enjoy with your cooked fries.
