Preheat the oven to 160°C fan / 350°F. Line a shallow baking tray (about 30 x 35cm / 12 x 14”) with baking parchment.

Sift the flour into a large mixing bowl, then stir in the oats, coconut sugar and a pinch of salt (if using).

Add the coconut oil, almond butter, milk and cherries. Mix until you have a rough dough that holds together.

Scoop out a tablespoonful of dough, roll into a ball and place on the baking tray. Use the palm of your hand to gently squash it down into a round and push a chunk of chocolate into the middle. Repeat the process with the remaining mixture.

Bake for 10–⏱️ 12 minutes until golden. Remove from the oven and cool on a wire rack (don’t worry if they seem a little soft, they will firm up as they cool). Scatter over a pinch of sea salt (if using) before serving.
