In a medium bowl, mix the cheddar, monterey jack, and parmesan with the mayonnaise and green onion. Add dash of salt to taste and set aside or keep in fridge until you need it.

Cut the loaf of bread in half, then cut each half into half again.

Working with one piece of bread at a time, melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a skillet and add one-fourth of the minced garlic. Place 1 of the pieces of bread face down in the skillet, swirling it to soak up the butter and garlic. Allow the bread to toast in the skillet, removing the garlic if it starts to get too brown. Repeat with remaining butter, garlic, and bread.

Spread the cheese mixture on the toasted loaves and bake in a 425°F oven until the cheese is hot and bubbly, about ⏱️ 10 minutes.
