In a microwave-safe bowl, combine water, honey, milk, and butter. Warm until it feels like bath water to the touch (about 1-1.⏱️ 5 minutes).

Pour the warm liquid into a stand mixer bowl and stir in the sourdough discard.

Attach the dough hook. Add 2-3 cups of flour and mix on low. Sprinkle in the yeast, then gradually add the remaining flour and salt.
