Easy Gold Cake

Bake cakes and allow them to cool completely.

Prepare the filling by adding the halva pieces in a deep bowl. Mash them with the back of a fork or use a hand-held mixer.

Add heavy cream until you have a thick and smooth consistency. Note: Keep in mind that all bakeries have different recipes for their halvas. Some are soft and some are firmer. So, you may need to add more or less heavy cream to get the desired consistency (something similar to thick jam).

Prepare buttercream icing.

Place one cake on a serving dish or cake stand.

Spread halva filling on top of cake evenly.

Place other cake on top and press gently to secure together.

Ice entire cake smoothly in icing.

Cover entire cake in desiccated coconut.

Spray the entire cake with golden edible spray.
Golden edible spray (I used Wilton's gold color mist)

Place your halva pieces on a sheet of paper towel. Spray it golden with gold edible spray.

Keep these aside at room temperature until the paint dries. This takes about ⏱️ 10 minutes.

Place your halva pieces on top of the cake in a flower formation.

Give your whole cake one final coating of that golden spray and let it dry. This takes about ⏱️ 5-10 minutes.

Add a silver pearl in the center of the flower and toss a few more randomly around the base of the cake. Enjoy!
