In a large bowl, whisk together the warm milk, yeast, and 1 tablespoon of sugar. Cover and let stand for ⏱️ 5 minutes until foamy.

Add the remaining sugar, egg, softened butter, salt, and 1 cup of flour. Mix to combine, then add the remaining 2 cups of flour and beat for ⏱️ 2 minutes until a soft dough forms.

Knead the dough on a floured surface for ⏱️ 5-7 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for ⏱️ 1-2 hours until doubled.

Punch down the dough, divide into 15 pieces, and roll into balls. Arrange them in a greased 9x13 inch baking pan.

Cover the pan and let the rolls rise for another hour until they are puffy and touching each other.

Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Bake for ⏱️ 20-25 minutes until golden brown.

As soon as the rolls come out of the oven, brush them with a mixture of melted butter and honey. Serve warm.
