1. Make the honey butter: Stir together butter, honey, and salt in a bowl with a fork until well combined. Cover and refrigerate until firm, at least ⏱️ 30 minutes.

2. Make the cornbread: Preheat oven to 350°F. Butter a 10-inch cast-iron skillet. Whisk together cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl. Whisk together butter, buttermilk, eggs, and honey in a separate bowl. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and stir just until combined. Transfer to prepared pan.

3. Bake until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, 22 to ⏱️ 25 minutes. Cool in pan ⏱️ 10 minutes. Serve warm with honey butter alongside.
