Brown the meat

Set a cast iron pan over medium heat. Add the ground meat to the pan and sear until mostly cooked through. As it browns, break it up into fine bits with a wooden spoon.

Add the aromatics & seasonings

Add the trinity of aromatic vegetables and the Cajun seasonings. Saute until the aromatics have softened and the spices are fragrant. Taste and adjust. It should be heavily flavored since the rice will absorb most of the seasoning.

Add the broth & simmer

Add the rice and broth, and stir everything together. Cover the pan and simmer for ~⏱️ 20 minutes or until the rice has absorbed all the liquid. Enjoy.
