In a medium-sized skillet add the oil for frying and fill the skillet ½ inch up the sides. Heat the oil to medium-high heat or 375 degrees Fahrenheit.

Slice 2 large onions into rings measuring ¼ inch in thickness.

In a small bowl, add 1 ¼ cup all-purpose flour and 1 teaspoon baking powder. In another bowl, whisk together 3 large eggs. In the last bowl, add 2 cups panko, ½ cup grated parmesan cheese, 1 teaspoon paprika, and ½ teaspoon garlic powder and stir to combine.

Dip each onion ring first in the flour mixture, then in the egg mixture, and lastly in the Panko mixture. Repeat with all of the onion rings.

Add the onion rings to the hot oil and fry until they are golden brown. Place the fried onion rings on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.

Preheat the oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. After coating the onion rings line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Bake for ⏱️ 10-15 minutes or until crispy and golden brown.
