Melt 8 tablespoons butter in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Cook, swirling occasionally, until golden brown and nutty smelling, 8 to ⏱️ 10 minutes. Add sage and cook, until crisp, 5 to ⏱️ 10 seconds.

Melt remaining 2 tablespoons butter in a medium skillet over medium-high heat. Add sausage and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned and cooked through, 10 to ⏱️ 12 minutes. Transfer to a plate.

Pour off all but 2 tablespoons fat from skillet; reduce heat to medium. Add gnocchi and spread into a single layer. Cook, without stirring, ⏱️ 2 minutes. Toss, and continue cooking, until golden brown and crispy, 3 to ⏱️ 4 minutes. Add sage butter and sausage, and cook until warmed through, 1 to ⏱️ 2 minutes.
