Start cooking the pasta as directed on the package.

Meanwhile, heat the oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat, add the sausage and onion and cook until cooked, breaking the sausage apart as it cooks.

Add the garlic, fennel, and tomato paste and cook until fragrant, about a minute.

Turn off the heat, mix in the cream and parmesan.

Mix in the cooked and drained pasta, season with salt and pepper to taste, mix in the basil and enjoy!
