Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Melt the butter; then place it in the bottom of the casserole dish.

Using the kitchen shears, cut the cinnamon rolls into eight pieces each; then place in a medium sized mixing bowl. (Set the icing aside; leaving it at room temperature).

Combine the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract in a small mixing bowl; then whisk until well blended.

Pour the egg mixture into the dough, mix well; then pour into the casserole dish.

Bake for ⏱️ 30 minutes uncovered. Cover the dish with foil; then cook for an additional ⏱️ 10 minutes or until the dough puffs up and the eggs are cooked through. Remove the dish from the oven.

Remove the metal top from the icing; then heat in the microwave for ⏱️ 10 seconds. Drizzle the icing on top of the breakfast casserole; then serve hot.
