Preheat the oven to 350°F. Butter a 13-by-9-inch baking dish and set aside.

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta ⏱️ 2 minutes less than the package instructions, reserving 1 cup pasta water. Set the drained pasta aside.

Meanwhile, cook the bacon in a large Dutch oven over medium heat, flipping occasionally, until brown and crispy, 5 to ⏱️ 7 minutes. Transfer to a paper-towel lined plate to cool; crumble.

Add 2 tablespoons of the butter to the bacon drippings and melt over medium-high heat. Add the mushrooms and ½ teaspoon salt and sauté until the mushrooms begin to turn golden, 5 to ⏱️ 7 minutes. Stir in the garlic and cook until fragrant, about ⏱️ 1 minute. Sprinkle in the flour, and cook, stirring, until the flour is slightly toasted, 2 to ⏱️ 3 minutes. Add the wine and let cook until reduced by half, 3 to ⏱️ 5 minutes. Slowly stir in the chicken broth and cook until the sauce thickens slightly, 7 to ⏱️ 9 minutes.

Reduce the heat to medium low. Gradually stir in the cream cheese, cheddar, and ¾ cup of the parmesan until melted.

Add the pasta, chicken, peas, olives, pepper, lemon juice, bacon, and remaining 1 ½ teaspoons salt and stir to combine. Add the pasta water, about 2 tablespoons at a time, until almost soupy, up to 1 cup. (The pasta will absorb a lot.)

Meanwhile, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons butter in a medium bowl in the microwave. Stir in the breadcrumbs, parsley, lemon zest, and remaining ¼ cup parmesan.

Pour the spaghetti mixture into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle with the breadcrumb mixture. Bake until the casserole is bubbly and the top is golden brown, about ⏱️ 25 minutes. Allow to rest for ⏱️ 5 minutes before serving.
