In a food processor, blender, or in a plastic bag with a rolling pin, finely crush graham crackers (you will have about 3 cups crumbs).

In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, butter, and 1/4 cup sugar. Pour into a 9-inch by 13-inch baking dish.

Using the bottom of a measuring cup, press the crust evenly and firmly into the bottom of the pan (so the crust holds together when sliced). Refrigerate while preparing the filling.

In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese, remaining 3/4 cup sugar, and vanilla until smooth and fully dissolved, about 2 to ⏱️ 3 minutes. Fold in whipped topping until smooth and evenly combined.
