📝 Preparation Steps

1. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Add 4 tablespoons butter to a 9×13-inch baking dish or a 10-inch skillet. Place it in the oven and let the butter melt, about ⏱️ 10 minutes.2. In a bowl, stir together 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons flour, the baking powder, and salt. Add 6 tablespoons grated butter and, using your hands, mix it into the flour until it resembles small blueberries. Add the buttermilk and 3/4 cup brown sugar, mixing until just combined.3. Remove the hot dish from the oven. Add the blueberries/berries, 1/4 cup brown sugar, jam, vanilla bean paste, and 2 tablespoons flour. Toss to combine. 4. Spoon the batter over the berries (don’t worry about covering everything evenly). Sprinkle the top with granulated sugar.5. Bake for 45–⏱️ 55 minutes, until the center is just set and the edges are golden brown.
