Preheat the oven to 400°F. Combine the blueberries, sugar, cinnamon, and lemon in a cast iron skillet and bring to a boil. Stir and continue cooking over medium-low heat until the berries start to burst and create a syrupy liquid, about ⏱️ 8 minutes.

Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a mixing bowl and whisk to combine. Grate the COLD butter and immediately toss it into the flour mixture. Cut the butter into the flour mixture with a fork.

Stir in the milk, just until combined, leaving plenty of little lumps of butter. Drop spoonfuls of the batter evenly over the blueberry sauce in the skillet. (I like to use my largest cookie scoop to do this.)

Cover with a lid and continue cooking over low heat for ⏱️ 15 minutes. While this is steaming, stir together the sugar and cinnamon.

After ⏱️ 15 minutes, uncover the skillet. Sprinkle generously with cinnamon sugar and place in the oven for ⏱️ 5-10 minutes, until the crust is golden. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
