In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons of milk, and 1 teaspoon of the vanilla extract. Blend until smooth and creamy.

Grease a 10x14 inch baking dish. Layer half the cubed French bread in the dish.
