In a medium saucepan, crush the blackberries with a potato masher. You should end up with about 2 1/2 cups crushed berries. Stir in the pectin, lemon juice, lemon zest, and vanilla bean paste.

Bring the mixture to a full rolling boil over high heat, stirring constantly. Add the sugar all at once, then return to a rolling boil and cook for ⏱️ 1 minute, stirring constantly.

Remove the jam from the heat and skim off any foam.

Ladle the mixture into very clean jars, leaving ½ inch at the top. Wipe the rims, place the lids on, and cool completely, about ⏱️ 2 hours. Refrigerate at least ⏱️ 4 hours before serving. The jam will keep in the refrigerator for 10 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
