Stir together BBQ sauce, water, and tomato paste in a bowl then set aside.

Heat oil in a large, 12β skillet over heat thatβs a touch above medium. Add chopped kale and shallots then saute for β±οΈ 2 minutes. Add smoked sausage then continue to saute until kale is tender and sausage is browned, β±οΈ 5-7 minutes. Add beans and BBQ sauce/water mixture then gently stir to combine.
