📝 Preparation Steps
1
Position racks in the upper and lower thirds of the oven. Preheat to 400ºF.
2
Combine the paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, and 1 1/2 teaspoons salt in a small bowl. Sprinkle the spice mixture on both sides of the chicken. Wrap 2 slices of bacon around each chicken breast, without overlapping. Place on a rimmed baking sheet, tucking the loose ends of the bacon under the chicken.
3
Bake on the lower oven rack until the chicken and bacon are cooked through, about ⏱️ 25 minutes. Switch the oven to broil. Brush the chicken and bacon with the maple syrup. Broil on the upper rack until the bacon is crispy, 2 to ⏱️ 3 minutes.
4
Meanwhile, heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the broccoli and cook, tossing, until bright green, 2 to ⏱️ 3 minutes.
5
Add the garlic, red pepper flakes, remaining 1 teaspoon salt, and remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil to the skillet. Cook, tossing, until the garlic is sizzling, about ⏱️ 1 minute. Add 1/2 cup water and bring to a simmer; cover and cook until the broccoli is tender, 4 to ⏱️ 5 minutes. Uncover, increase the heat to high and cook until the excess liquid evaporates, about ⏱️ 1 minute. Serve the chicken with the broccoli.
