Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F; then spray the tart pan with cooking spray.

Start by combining the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, and salt in a large mixing bowl. Mix them together until well combined.

Next, add the cold, small pieces of butter to the bowl. Using a pastry cutter or your hands, work the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs. Reserve 1 cup of the crumbs for the topping.

Press the mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a tart pan. Make sure to evenly distribute the crust mixture; then add the pie filling and spread evenly to cover the crust.

Place the tart pan on top of a baking sheet; then bake for ⏱️ 15 minutes. Add the 1 cup of remaining crumb topping to the apples; then bake for another ⏱️ 15 minutes or until the crumbs are light brown and the sides are bubbling.

Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving. Sprinkle the top with confectioners sugar, remove the tart from the pan by lifting the center from the sides; then cut into 10 slices.
