Almond Butter Stuffed Chocolate Eggs
These are the perfect treat to make around Easter time. The sweet chocolate coating is amazing with the gooey almond butter filled centre. We love dipping sticks of our peanut shortbread into the eggs for the ultimate snack.

📝 Preparation Steps
1
Place the date syrup, cacao butter, cacao powder and coconut oil in a pan over a low heat and cook until melted.
date syrup4 tablespoonscacao butter5.3 ozcacao powder0.3 ozcoconut oil2 tablespoons
2
Once melted, pour the mixture into the egg moulds and leave to set in the fridge for at least ⏱️ 2 hours.
3
After ⏱️ 2 hours, remove the moulds from the fridge. Using a teaspoon, scrape a little of the filling out of each egg to make a crater to spoon the almond butter into - you can keep this excess chocolate and melt it back down to make more eggs.
4
Spoon 1/2 a tablespoon of almond butter into each egg half, you can add more or less depending on the size of your eggs.
5
Using a long kitchen lighter - heat the chocolate edges of one half of the eggs, before sandwiching with another egg half. Please ensure an adult does this step.
6
Place back in the fridge until ready to eat.
